Q1: How can acupuncture treat reproductive problems?
A1: In the treatment of reproductive concerns, acupuncture begins most often by balancing our body endocrine system through the unblocking of energy based on individual pattern diagnosis. As opposed to commonly used therapies by Western medicine that can be invasive or cause side effects, acupuncture will do neither. This is not to say the acupuncture is recommended in place of Western medicine, but is a great adjunct where Western medicine treatments impose significant stress on the body or provide ineffective treatment.
Q2: What is Acupuncture?
A2: Acupuncture is a therapeutic method that originated from China and has been practiced for about 3000 years. It involves inserting thin hair-like needles into selective key points on the surface of the body, to encourage natural healing, balance the body's vital energy, relieve pain, cure disease, increase immunity and improve function of the body.
Q3: How does acupuncture work?
A3: The classical Chinese explanation is that illness results from imbalances or blockages in a person's energy meridians. The flow of energy is restored, when acupuncture needles stimulate certain points within those meridians. Acupuncture stimulates the body to produce pain relieving chemicals called endorphins or other naturally occurring chemicals and hormones that affect mood, health and pain perception. Many conditions can be treated.
